Charles from Kiwidivers was great with us. He made us feel comfortable and took us through the material and tasks for our certification. We had amazing dives during the same trip and was able to see so much around Phi Phi and Phuket. Would definitely recommend Kiwidivers to any of my friends and family. Thanks Charles!

August 19, 2024I booked a day trip with Kiwidiver in Jan 2018 and had an awesome day. Other than the main street dive centres, Kiwidiver uses higher end equipment, as they are specialised in Technical diving. So for all courses and day trips they use Frog BCDs and APEKS regulators, which are owned by and serviced at the dive shop (and not rented). I booked 3 fun dives at Racha Noi and Racha Yai. Meeting point is the Kiwidiver shop, where you'll be fitted in your scuba gear and from there transferred to the peer, which is a mere 5min drive from the dive center. The dive boat was large and did not feel crowded. There is breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, tea and coffee provided. Dive time is 50min at each site, so make sure you've set up your equipment and are ready to jump. Your instructor will tell you the boat time before starting the briefing. Between dives you can stretch out on the sun decks and enjoy the cruise. Don't forget to take your own towel, sun lotion, sun glasses and maybe a book if you're travelling solo. Also some cash, so you can leave a tip for the boat crew!

November 19, 2018I did some fun diving, training and booked a liveaboard through Kiwidivers on a recent trip to Phuket and had a great time with them. From prompt responses to emails during the initial enquiry and booking all the way through. I had Vincent as an Instructor/guide for the bulk of m dives out of Phuket. He is a fountain of knowledge on the diving around Phuket having been there so long but he still gets excited and passionate about all the dives and it’s possible to do a whole dive from a day trip boat with Vincent without seeing another diver. I certainly will be back.

Charles was fantastic. He taught us how to be safe while diving and took us on 6 amazing dives. He was clearly the most knowledgeable dive instructor on the boat and took us to all the great spots. We saw everything we could have wanted including sharks and a seahorse. Highly recommend for his expertise and awesome guidance.

November 19, 2020Charles was the best diving teacher and instructor one can wish for. I started my Open Water course really scared and unsure if diving was for me. But Charles was incredibly patient with me, answering all my questions in detail and made me feel safe and confident to try my first ever dive. His calmness and patience helped me stay relaxed. He knows the area really well and what species to look out for at each dive site. He knows how to get away from other divers, finding our own routes which is why we got lucky to see sharks, leopard sharks, cuttle fish, sea horses and turtles. But each dive was special as Charles finds and points out even the smallest shrimp in their holes. I had such a great time I booked another dive the week after finishing my course.

Charles is a very experienced dive instructor to make a day trip with. He makes sure everything runs smooth the entire day. On top, he's always open for an interesting chat to learn more about diving and sea life. 5 star more than worth it!

November 19, 2023Professional, friendly and well run. Charles is knowledgeable and down to earth, great dive spots and only ever has small groups unlike many other operators. Highly recommended.

What to expect when diving in Phuket
Unleash the Adventure: Explore Phuket’s Underwater Wonderland
Dive into the heart of the Andaman Sea and discover why Phuket is a diver’s paradise. At Kiwidivers, we specialize in crafting unforgettable scuba diving experiences that bring you face-to-face with the ocean’s most stunning wildlife. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or just starting, our fun dives are designed to thrill, inspire, and connect you with the natural world.
Why Choose Phuket for Scuba Diving?
Phuket’s waters are teeming with life, offering divers the chance to see dozens of species in a single dive—far more than you’d typically encounter on land-based wildlife tours. From vibrant coral gardens to majestic underwater rock formations, every dive is a new adventure. Our expert guides will take you to iconic sites like:
- Phi Phi Islands: Known for their crystal-clear waters and thriving marine ecosystems, the Phi Phi Islands are a must-visit. Glide alongside schools of tropical fish, spot graceful sea turtles, and marvel at the kaleidoscope of colors beneath the waves.
- King Cruiser Wreck: This sunken ferry is now a thriving artificial reef, home to groupers, snappers, and barracudas. Explore its fascinating structure and witness how nature has reclaimed this man-made marvel.
- Shark Point: Don’t let the name scare you—this site is famous for its leopard sharks, moray eels, and vibrant soft corals. It’s a haven for marine life and a favorite among photographers.

Closer to Nature Than Ever Before
Scuba diving isn’t just a sport; it’s a gateway to a world most people never see. Imagine floating weightlessly as a sea turtle glides past, or watching a school of angelfish dart through the coral. The ocean is alive with activity, and every dive offers a chance to witness something extraordinary. On average, divers in Phuket encounter dozens of species in a single dive—far more than you’d see on a safari or jungle trek. It’s an experience that brings you closer to nature in a way that’s both humbling and exhilarating.
